ABSTRACT
The study was aimed to carry out experiments to determine the optimal parameters for the biomass production of Trichoderma. It is quite essential to determine the physical conditions that are favorable for the growth of Trichoderma species. The seven species under study have been isolated from the rhizospheric soil. Sorghum as a substrate shows significant difference in the biomass production In various condition s such as moisture and pH condition. It was recorded the species at tested pH levels i.e. 4.0, 7.0 and 9.0. The most favorable pH ranges between 4 and 7. Although all the species of Trichoderma produced sufficient biomass at different Condition but they were found to be best grown at pH 4.0 and pH 7.0. it therefore recommended that there should be a consideration on the pH and moisture level of the soil, as irichoderma grow best in an acidic medium soil.
