The objectives of the study deals on the factors which are responsible for low women representation in administration, the perception of university of Benin students towards having more women in administration, the linkage between having more women in administration and administrative efficiency, to know if the primary role of women as child bearers amd home careers is and obstacle or effective administration and things that can influence more women in administrative leadership. The research work raised some statements such as; if the prevalent cultural and religious practices in Nigeria is responsible for low women representation in administrative leadership, if the administration of Prof. Mrs Lilian salami as vice chancellor of the university of Benin if an improvement on the previous administration led by a man, if the fact that women as child bearers and home careers is more reason why there should be effective administrative leadership and if organisations with more women perform better than organisations with less women. The study made use of a descriptive research design. The sample size was 400 respondents but 102 questionnaires were answered so this research worked with 102 respondents. Analysis was done using the 4 scaled likert questionnaire. The findings of the study showed that the factors that contribute to the reasons why women are not well presented in administration are the prevalent cultural practices, religious practices, sexual harassment and violent conflict should not be in existence. The study concluded that discussions and the adoption of proactive initiatives on the issue of women in administration is essential to breaking gender bias in the work place, especially in the top administrative positions, which will help to foster a more inclusive society where both women and men will be given equal opportunity and no one will be left behind. The study recommended that law makers should make it a point of action to initiate bills and laws that addresses the structural marginalisation of women in top administrative positions, women who are already in top administrative positions should take it upon themselves to carry out seminars and mentorship programs, traditional and cultural bodies should remove laws that isolates women and make them feel like nothing in the society.
