ABSTRACT Landscaping in Undergraduate student residences is at a decline. The underlying effects and causes of little or no landscape in undergraduate student residences at the University of Benin were determined by this study. This study followed a descriptive research design using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The study found that the landscaping in these undergraduate student residence are very uncreative, unsuitable for the service of relaxation and fun activities, and lack of proper care and maintenance of the landscape areas are some of the biggest challenges facing landscaping in undergraduate student residences. Keen attention should be given to the development and consistent maintenance of landscaped areas, the study says.
