ABSTRACT

The demand for accessible and sustainable energy solutions has grown in response to rural communities' ongoing energy shortages and unreliable power supplies. This study focuses on the examination of a solar system installation made especially for charging phones in order to meet the rising need for mobile connectivity and communication in rural locations. Evaluating the viability, affordability, and sustainability of putting in place a small-scale solar power system designed to satisfy the energy requirements of rural communities for phone charging was the main goal of the study.

The methodology deployed was to carry out cost analysis that matches the load demand of the community. This was done by carrying out needs assessments of the rural dwellers, assessment of the load demand and the cost implication of the equipment to be deployed.

The successful implementation of the project demonstrates the cost effectiveness of the renewable energy. It further suggests the environmental friendliness of renewable energy like the solar energy. The results of this study demonstrate how solar energy may be used as a cost-effective and environmentally responsible way to alleviate energy poverty in rural areas, especially for necessities like charging of phones.
