ABSTRACT
This research project critically assesses the police reformation as a means to improving national security. Using the 2020 EndSARS protest as a compelling case study. The study aims to explore the impact and worthiness of proposed change in policing strategies and structures concerning their contribution to overall national security. Literatures were reviewed about the topic and quantitative approach was employed. Using statistical analysis of relevant data. The investigation will scrutinize the genesis of the EndSARS movement, its demands and the subsequent responses from governmental and law enforcement bodies. Key factors such as accountability, transparency and public trust in law enforcement will be assessed in the context of national security enhancement. The findings of reformation initiatives, shedding light on their potential impact on overall national security dynamics.
