EVALUATING THE USE OF INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

SUMMARY

This study assessed the use of Information Communication Technology among Health Record Managers in a Tertiary Health Institution in Edo State, Nigeria. A descriptive cross-sectional study using survey methodology was carried out to evaluate the use of ICT among Health Record Managers in a tertiary health institution in Benin City, Edo state and the target population of the study comprise of all the health record managers in University of Benin Teaching Hospital totaling 138. 113 health record managers was used as sample size. purposive sampling technique was used. A self-structured questionnaire was used to get data from the respondents which was validated by the researcher’s supervisor and yielded a reliability score of 0.761 during the pilot study. Descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentage and means were used to analyze the data obtained while Chi-square statistics was used to test the stated hypotheses of the study.
