SUMMARY
This study was done to assess the level of knowledge of ethical and legal issues affecting nursing practice among nurses in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). The 45 study was organized into five chapters. Chapter one contained an introduction to the topic, the problem statement, objectives of the study, research questions, hypothesis, scope of the study, the significance of the study and an operational definition of terms. Applicable literature on the subject matter were drawn from in chapter two to develop the conceptual review, theoretical framework and empirical review. Chapter three presented the research methodology including the selected research design, data collection instrument and methods of data analyses. In chapter four were the presentation of results and data analyses. The major finding of the study was that the knowledge level of the nurses was moderate.
