ABSTRACT
The study investigated the relationship between ethical value, fraud diamond and financial crime. The study adopted a cross sectional survey method of research design. The data for this study were collected through questionnaire administered staff of the fourteen commercial banks quoted on the NSE as at 1st April 2019. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and OLS regression analysis were used as the method of data analysis. The study finds that pressure and capability have a significant positive association with financial crime, while rationalization and ethical value have no significant relationship with financial crime. However, the study finds that opportunity has a significant but negative relationship with financial crime. The study recommends that a rapid attention be given to what would have resulted into the existence of fraud diamond elements within an organization and ensure that appropriate controls are put in place to counter the existence of financial crimes.
