ABSTRACT
This research examined the environmental factors that influences students academic performance of junior secondary schools in Ika-north east local government area of Delta-State, Environmental influence before now have not been considered as one of the factors that influences the academic performance of students in junior secondary schools hence it has little or no attention in educational discourse and consideration but over the past decade remarkable studies have indicated a correlation between the environment and academic performance of students, Four research questions were raised, to achieve this a sample of 200 respondents in Ika-north east local governments secondary schools was selected and five schools were chosen which includes (Ute-okpu grammar school, Dynamic secondary school, Mary mount college, Erumu secondary school, Ute-ogbeje Secondary School) using survey research design, questionnaire was administered to the respondents.
It was recommended that experienced and professional school managers should be involved in school planting to avoid the mistakes of siting school in inappropriate locations and also Government should as a matter of necessity improve on the present state of our school environments.
