ABSTRACT
This research investigates Entrepreneurship Skills’ Development and product Innovation: A Case Study of Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The concept of entrepreneurship played a formative role in the emergence of business history as a distinct academic field. Entrepreneurship is a process of wealth creation for an individual, community and the larger society. The main goal of this study is to examine entrepreneurship skills acquisition and product innovation in Nigeria. Specifically, the study sought to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial skill acquisition and product innovation in Nigeria. This study employed the purposive sampling technique which comprised of 400` participants. The 400 participants formed the study sample size. The data for this study were collected through the use of questionnaire administered to the sample population. The study employed the descriptive statistics in analyzing and interpreting the responses from the sample population while the hypotheses were tested using chi-square statistical tool. The findings of the study revealed that Entrepreneurial skills' acquisition enhance product innovation and there is a positive significant relationship between acquisition of entrepreneurial still and product innovation through the following ways: market competition, technology, leadership and risk management and accessing capital.
