ABSTRACT
This study was to analyze the Entrepreneurial Skills needed by Industrial Technical Education students for entry into the world of works. All 300 and 400level undergraduates currently studying Industrial Technical Education from the Faculty of Education, University of Benin were used for this study.
The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire, which was developed and administered to 300 and 400level undergraduates currently studying Industrial Technical Education from the Faculty of Education, University of Benin. The data from their responses were analyzed with the use of four-point rating scale. The findings from the study revealed that Industrial Technical Education students lack the necessary entrepreneurial skills needed for entry into the world of works to a high extent. The analysis further revealed that to an extent lack of qualified lecturers who possess the necessary skills and the ability to impact knowledge about such skills to their students is in fact insufficient.
Finally, it was revealed that the journey to equip students with entrepreneurial skills is an ongoing one that requires dedication, collaboration, and adaptability to a high extent. Based on the findings it is therefore recommended that the Faculty of Education, University of Benin, must takes steps to enhance entrepreneurship education, it must remain committed to continuous improvement and the ever-evolving needs of its students and the industries they will serve.
