ABSTRACT
Unemployment remains a persistent global challenge, hindering economic growth and individual prosperity. Entrepreneurial education has emerged as a promising tool to address this issue by fostering a culture of innovation and self-reliance among individuals. This project delves into the potential of entrepreneurial education as a catalyst for mitigating unemployment, examining its impact on individuals' mindsets, skills, and career trajectories. The study investigates the Entrepreneurial Education as a tool for mitigating Unemployment in Ovia North East, L.G.A., Edo State. The objectives of the study are: to study the factors responsible for the current unemployment rate in Ovia North East L.G.A, examine the roles of entrepreneurship education programs for aspiring entrepreneurs in Ovia North East L.G.A, Identify the barriers encountered by individuals in Ovia-North east L.G.A, seeking to start and sustain their businesses, and to propose strategies and recommendations for integrating entrepreneurship education into the existing educational curriculum and vocational training programs in Ovia-North East. Quantitative methodology was adopted and the research utilized the primary and secondary source of data collection, 120 questionnaires was distributed and 90 were returned. Functionalism theory was used to further explain the study.
