This study investigates the energy consumption patterns and identifies potential areas for improvement in the office/accommodation building type at the University of Benin using the daisy Danjuma buildings as case studies on campus. By conducting a comprehensive assessment of the existing energy infrastructure, usage habits, and building characteristics, this research aims to develop effective strategies for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing the university's environmental footprint. The analysis will delve into factors such as passive design systems, HVAC equipment, appliances, and occupant behavior. Recommendations for implementing sustainable practices, including energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources, and behavior modification programs, will be proposed to contribute to a more sustainable and cost-effective campus environment.
