ABSTRACT
Through the experiments conducted using both alcohol-based and water-based surfactants in emulsion formation for improved black oil recovery, several significant findings have been observed. 1. Surfactant Effectiveness: Both alcohol-based and water-based surfactants have shown effectiveness in forming emulsions with black oil, thereby aiding in its recovery process. 2. Solution Stability: While both types of surfactants contributed to emulsion formation, they exhibited different behaviors regarding solution stability. The water-based surfactant resulted in a slight increase in solution volume over time, indicating potential dilution or dispersion of the black oil. In contrast, the alcohol-based surfactant maintained solution stability, with minimal changes in volume observed over the experimental period. 3. Black Oil Recovery: The experiments demonstrate that both surfactant types have the potential to enhance black oil recovery. However, the choice between alcohol-based and water-based surfactants may depend on specific project requirements and environmental factors
