ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to examine the impact of compensation on worker’s productivity in Nigeria. To facilitate the study, questionnaires were administered and various hypotheses and relationship were proposed and tested. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS, Version 24.0) was employed to empirically examine the relationship. The result shows bonus affect worker’s productivity in Nigeria. The result shows that promotion affect worker’s productivity. Also, the result shows that training and development affect worker’s productivity. Lastly, the result shows that worker’s career development affect worker’s productivity. It was recommended that organizations should ensure that they provide the needed and motivation, compensation or remunerate that will spur employees to act towards improving their task performance. Also, compensation system needs to be improved so that employees will actually avoid engagement in counterproductive behaviors, rather they should be encouraged to follow up with attitudes that will improve the performance of the organization in which they work.
