ABSTRACT

This study examined the relationship between Employees strike action and organisational productivity in the university of Benin. it investigates the effect of strike actions on the productivity of the organization.

Survey research Design was used and a population of 3244 and a sample of 356 was gotten using the Yamane formula

The findings suggest that strike action is negatively associated with productivity, so also are the variables {workplace culture, Job satisfaction, strike participation}

From the analysis it was discovered that a positive workplace culture aids productivity. that goes to say an organisation without a great workplace culture will most likely end up with low productivity

The analysis also examined the effect of job satisfaction on productivity and it was found that lack of job satisfaction leads to low organisational productivity. 

In conclusion the results of this study have implications for both the employers and employees suggesting that strikes should be carefully considered by organization in terms of the potential effect on productivity.
