The Embedded Atom Method (EAM) has emerged as a powerful computational technique for predicting the behavior of complex alloy systems at the atomic level. The elastic constants are paramount to determine the strength of alloys. The elastic constants of M–Ir where M represents Cu, Au, Ni, Ag, Pt, Al, Pd and Rh were computed at room temperature using the embedded atom method (EAM) and the alloy mixing potentials. The predicted results were found to be in reasonable agreement with the work of Akande et al.(2021).
