ABSTRACT
Student elections is one of the inevitable activity in any institution, as it as it directly influences the governance and representation within the institution . So far, the manual methods adopted, such as paper ballots, manual vote counting, and physical polling stations, have proven to be inadequate, extremely time-consuming, and labor-intensive, among other disadvantages. This project emphasis on the need to adopt more automated methods of voting during in federal university elections, these methods includes an intuitive user interface, technologies that ensure the security and accuracy, use of student biodata for easy access, real time result display, etc. Taking into consideration the constraints and the scope of the project which is the University Of Benin, Student Union Government Elections, the method proposed by this project is a Real time Electronic voting stystem. However, this project focuses on implementation of this automated voting system, where students can view election results(realtime), vote for elections and the result is updated on both the admin and voters’ page. . This implementation involves development of the system. The front-end interface is built using responsive web technologies to ensure compatibility across various devices, from desktops to smartphones. The back-end infrastructure leverages secure servers and databases to manage and process voting data efficiently. The designs are the framework for the system, the system can handle the whole process of voting, from student validation to providing voting result for the various aspirants and candidates accepted for the election positions by the institution electoral board.
