ABSTRACT

This abstract presents an Election E-Monitoring and E-Collation System (EEMECS). The election e-monitoring and e-collation is a comprehensive digital platform designed to enhance transparency and efficiency in the electoral process. It streamlines the result entry, collation, and monitoring stages, ensuring accurate and timely election outcomes. Party agents are assigned to polling units, where they upload election results and scanned result sheets. The collation module aggregates and processes the data, determining winners for contested positions. A monitoring module allows the reporting of electoral malpractice cases with evidence which may subsequently serve as crucial evidence in legal disputes. The application promotes transparency through simultaneous viewing of input forms and result sheet images. The benefits include improved accuracy, reduced manipulation, and enhanced accountability. It empowers stakeholders with real-time data, ensuring fair and credible elections in Nigeria.
