SUMMARY
From the result of the study, it can be deducted that Loratadine has a positive effect on fetal weight, while Loratadine has adverse effect on crown rump length, placental diameters and histomorphology. The effect of Loratadine on the oxidative status of the placenta is not geographically homogenous hence the effect of Loratadine increases or decreases the biomarkers. At high altitude, where the partial pressure of oxygen is low, placental hypoxic stress is induced that thwarts the high-altitude pregnancies more toward a preeclamptic phenotype.
From the result of this finding, it can be concluded that excessive intake of Loratadine can lead to loss of weight, yellowish coloration among others. So it is advisable that excessive intake of Loaratidne during pregnancy should be limited/controlled so as to reduced is adverse effect in order not to outweigh its positive effect.
