ABSTRACT
This research investigated Effects of instructional material utilization in advancing schools performance in technology education (TVET). The purpose of this study is to show the extent instructional material enhance the teachers dissemination of knowledge, the extent to which instructional materials affect the performance of the students in teaching, and the use of instructional materials in teaching technology subject in classes. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. University of Benin technical education final year students. The sampling techniques used for the study was total of (29) students enumeration sampling Technique. A questionnaire was designed and titled Effects of instructional material utilization in advancing schools performance in technology education (TVET). A total of 29 copies of questionnaire were administered and 29 copies were duly completed, returned and found useable for this study. The instrument was subjected to face validation by the supervisor. Recommendations was made which state that More instructional material should be made available to enhance the teaching and learning of basic technology. Technology Education teachers should be trained and retrained to increase the knowledge and ensure adequate and appropriate usage of Instructional material. The usage of Instructional material should be increased to enable the students benefits maximally from it. This will enable proper achievement of the objective of Learning through the use of Instructional materials.
