ABSTRACT

This study examined how well school leadership approaches support learning outcomes using a case study of public secondary schools in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area. In order to fulfill the study's objectives, four research questions were posed and looked into. A total of 120 responses comprised the sample size. The instrument used to collect the data was the questionnaire. The research design used for the study was a descriptive survey. The mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. The study's conclusions include the fact that learning results are considerably enhanced in public secondary schools in Edo State's Oredo Local Government Area by transformational, charismatic, and transactional school leadership styles. The findings of the study indicate a noteworthy correlation between the leadership styles of public secondary schools in Oredo Local Government Area, Edo State, and the academic achievements of their students. The study made several recommendations, one of which was that secondary school principals should adopt a charismatic and transformative leadership style instead of an authoritarian one.
