ABSTRACT
This study investigated the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education programs on skill acquisition among undergraduate students of university of Benin. To guide the study, four research questions were raised, and four hypotheses generated. The study population comprised undergraduate students of the university of Benin, Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria 2021/2022 academic session; from which a sample of 160 students were randomly selected. The study employed descriptive statistics, simple frequency count, percentages, and, mean, in analyzing the data generated for the study. Findings indicated among other things that; there is significant relationship between entrepreneurship curriculum content and skill acquisition level of undergraduates in the University of Benin, and that the nature of teaching methods affects the acquisition of skills needed for self-reliance and employment generation. Based on the findings, the study recommended that, Entrepreneurship curriculum content should contain an extensive coverage on critical thinking and brain storming sessions that will motivate student towards developing the right skills needed for labour market.
