ABSTRACT

This study explores the complex relationship between Gender diversity, age diversity, ethnic diversity and the performance of employees within First bank plc Uselu and Uniben branch as a case study. The survey design was utilized and Taro Yamane technique were employed to acquire comprehensive data from employees of First bank in this study. Furthermore, sixty six (66) questionnaires were employed to sample the respondents perspectives. However, sixty (60) questionnaires were retrieved and examined. The population size composed of employees in First bank plc Uselu and Uniben branch. The collected and validated questionnaires were analyzed using frequency table while the hypothesis was evaluated using the Spearman’s rank Order correlation coef icient. The conclusion of the studies demonstrates that employee performance is significantly positively correlated with age, gender and ethnic diversity. The study also found substantial evidence that both gender and age diversity positively af ects employee performance at First bank Nigeria plc. Therefore, it is recommended that First bank Nigeria plc should continue its ef ort to support gender diversity by implementing initiatives that encourage equal opportunities for professional development and promotion for all genders. To further enhance employee performance, First Bank should invest in age diversity training programs.
