ABSTRACT
This study was designed to examine the effect of multimedia instruction on senior secondary school students’ achievement in chemistry in Egor Local Government Area of Edo state. The instrument use for data collection was a structured questionnaire, which was developed and administered to 200 SS2 students from senior secondary school in Egor local government area of Edo state. The data from their responses were analyzed with the use of simple percentage and frequency. The results revealed that multimedia instruction positively influence senior secondary school students’ achievement in Chemistry as it enhance their understanding of chemistry better, also promote personal study. It arouses students’ interest and attention in studying Chemistry, as well as improving on student achievement in understanding various concepts of chemistry. Furthermore, the study also revealed multimedia instruction in Chemistry significantly contribute to student achievement compared to traditional instruction.
