SUMMARY
This study investigated the removal of cadmium and lead ions in aqueous solutions using MgO-carbonized Hibiscus (Zobo) flower waste nano composite and explored the Best-fit Isotherm model. Different optimum conditions were studied for parameters such as contact time, pH, initial concentration and adsorbent dosage. The Freundlich model was most suitable for both cadmium and languirm isotherm was most suitable for lead ions. The results indicate that MgO-carbonized Hibiscus (Zobo) flower waste nano composite may provide an effective way to enhance heavy metal removal from aqueous solutions. In addition, MgO-carbonized Hibiscus (Zobo) flower waste nano composite can also be used to control heavy metal pollution in wetlands and maintain the sustainable development of wetland ecosystems in the future.
