ABSTRACT

This project work has been put together to highlight and present the result of the study on the “effect of improper curing on the strength and transport properties of lowgrade Rice Husk Ash (RHA) concretes” with the aim of understanding how several methods of curing for 3, 7, 14 & 28 days, distorts the achievable compressive strength and other structural properties of a low-grade concrete such as 20MPa having Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) that has been partially replaced at different percentages by weight with RHA (an agriculturally based pozzolanic material, lying in abundance around the globe most times as waste, found universally suitable by researchers to partially replace OPC in the production of concrete).
