ABSTRACT
The significant variations among the three breeds of rabbit studied were observed in number terms of Age at first mating, Average gestation length, Average litter weight at birth, Average litter weight at weaning, Fur pulling ability, Kindling interval, Litter size at birth, Litter size at weaning, Mortality, Weight at mating, Weight of doe after kindling, Generally from the results obtained, the Dutch breeds performed better than the other breeds studied in terms of Average gestation length, Litter size at birth and litter size at weaning. While in terms of mortality rate, Hyla breeds perform better. This is not unexpected as Hyla breed is adaptable to a wide variation of climate hence have better survivability compare to other exotic breeds.
