ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to know if corruption has an effect on the income of cab drivers in Ekosodin community, Ugbowo.Five research questions were raised to guide the study.
This research adopted the use of chi-square analysis.The population of the study consisted of the total number of cab drivers in Ekosodin community, Ugbowo.A sample of 50 respondents was randomly selected for the study.The research instrument used to collect data for the study was a structured questionaire,the validity of instrument was ascertained by the researcher's supervisor.
The findings indicated that there is a significant effect of corruption on the income of cab drivers in Ekosodin community,Ugbowo.Based on these findings,it was recommended that there should be government and regulatory involvement inoder to monitor and regulate the behaviours of law enforcement officials and create public awareness campaign inorder to educate both cab drivers and passengers about their rights and responsibilities.
