SUMMARY
The present study provides evidence for the anti oxidant activity of the sphenocentrum jollyanum plant. However, further work is necessary to ascertain the toxicity of the plant, identify its active compound(s) and optimum dosage in order to provide an alternative means for treatment of malaria. The study has antixidant capacity(at high doses)property.
Therefore, it is suggested that the aqeous extract of sphenocentrum jollayanum stem could offer protection against oxidative damage and improve liver function in the presence of infections.
