ABSTRACT
Extra abdominal fat distribution, incorrect insulin and glucose metabolism, altered blood lipids, a pro-inflammatory state, and hypertension are all symptoms of the clustering illness known as metabolic syndrome. Finding appropriate healthcare strategies, like herbal medicines, with fewer side effects is preferable in terms of the negative consequences of synthetic medicines. The herb Allium cepa L., also known as the onion, is a member of the Amaryllidaceae family. The primary substances found in the plant are flavonoids like quercetin and kaempferol, alk(en)yl cysteine sulfoxides like S-methyl cysteine sulfoxide and S-propyl. Broad-spectrum activities are displayed by A. cepa and its pharmacologically active constituents, including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, lipid-modifying, anti-obesity, antihypertensive, and antidiabetic effects. In this research , we sought to understand the function of A. cepa.
