ABSTRACT
The primary aim of this research was to exam the effect of adaptation and mitigating strategies of climate change risks on Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria. The research adopted both primary and secondary data; primary data were collected through the use of questionnaire. The study adopts the survey research design. The population of the study consists of all Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. The findings revealed that types of climate change risks (CCR) affects Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES) and it was recommended that There is a need to raise awareness of the potential impacts of extreme weather conditions amongst SMEs, especially amongst those who have not experienced an adverse weather event or those who have not made a link between the weather conditions they have experienced and climate change.
