ABSTRACT

This research work sought to examine the E- governance and data privacy concerns; assessing risks and mitigation strategies in Nigeria data protection bureau (NDPB) The study made use of questionnaire to obtain data from respondent.. Objectives were raised for the study. The study found that It examined Nigeria’s ICT sector’s data privacy protection environment.. It also found that The focus was on personal data, data protection, and data privacy within the socio-legal framework. Also, it found that A foundational landscape, addressing problem statements and research objectives was provided. The study concluded that The identified challenges, which range from a lack of information to legal complexities, open the way for the expression of perceptive prospects, which anticipate a future bolstered by solid regulatory frameworks and greater expertise. In essence, this research contributes considerably to the discourse on data privacy in Nigeria's developing ICT sector, providing nuanced observations, helpful recommendations, and a roadmap for future exploration and action. Therefore a suitable payment system is a prerequisite for effective performance and thus recommended that Enhanced Public Awareness Campaigns: Launch extensive public awareness initiatives to inform Nigerian citizens and businesses about their data privacy rights DPB. This can be accomplished through strategic media outreach, workshops, and internet tools.
