ABSTRACT
This study assessed the assessment of Domestic Waste Disposal: Effects and Solutions in the University of Benin, Edo State. Four research questions were raised to guide the study. The population for the study consists of all the 50 University of Benin waste management board staffs, Edo state in the year 2021, 2020/2021 session. The population included 15 Senior Staffs and 35 Junior Staffs. The total populations were used for the study which comprises of 50 waste management board staffs in University of Benin, Edo state, therefore no sampling technique was required. A survey research design was adopted for the study. The instrument for data collection was a self-designed questionnaire. The reliability of the instrument was determined using testretest method and a reliability coefficient of 0.75 was obtained for the students questionnaires using Pearson Moment Correlation. From the findings of the study, it was revealed that University of Benin waste and estate management board is being funded by the state government. It was shown that Funds are always available for university of Benin waste and estate management board to utilize. It was seen that University of Benin waste and estate management board also generates internal revenue to augment the fund from the government. It was revealed that Funds it receives and generates are adequate to enable university of Benin waste and estate management board carry out its duties effective.
