In today's fast-paced world, the healthcare industry's current environment demands quality and patient satisfaction in medical care delivery. One way of meeting this demands is to create a system where patients can book appointents with any doctor from the comfort of their homes. An online doctors’ appointment scheduling system necessitates a competent administration when handling patients. The University of Benin Health Center operates in an outmoded and much-flawed system of doctors’ appointment scheduling. This approach involves physically going to the health center to schedule appointments with doctors on the desired date. The problem arises with this system when a doctor has been overbooked or when a doctor has another emergency to attend to. The scheduled patient will not be aware of this alteration and will have to appear physically in the health center before realizing the changes in the scheduled time. During the observation period of the current system, it was observed that several patients where unsatisfied with the waiting times before being able to see the doctors. In this research, we try to solve this problem by creating a doctors’ appointment scheduling system, where doctors can create and manage appointment times. This project uses some modern programming languages and tools to achieve its aim. A separate platform was created for doctors and patients, and these two platforms communicate through API calls.
