ABSTRACT

A taxonomic study was carried out on marine molluscs using samples  collected between 3^rd and 8^th July, 2021 from . The Yoho Area located offshore Akwa Ibom State. A total of fifteen species belonging to two class of mollusc and twelve families were encountered. The class gastropoda was represented by,Semicassis bisulcata, Mitromica Africana, Peringia ulvae, Nassarius reticulatus, Natica rubromaculata ,Natica acinonyx,Gemmula gemmulina, Turritella communis. The class bivalve was represented by Acanthocardia tuberculata,DinocardiumRobustum, Cardita ajar, Mya arenaria, Crassostrea virginica, Scrobicularia plana, Abra prismatica.
