ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the many ways scholarly publishing has been pushed forward by technology recently, while proposing a system that adds to the vast field of scholarly publishing, and addresses many of the shortcomings identified. It begins with a comprehensive analysis of the existing academic publishing ecosystem, identifying trends, limitations and opportunities presented by traditional journals. Through extensive research, user engagement, and requirements gathering, the project formulates a clear set of objectives. The primary aim of this endeavor is to improve accessibility to scholarly publishing while maintaining high quality. By implementing efficient peer review workflows and embracing digital tools, the project accelerates the journey from researcher to reader. The platform will be controlled by a chief editor, who will have final say on the articles to be published and can also assign the task of reviewing and overseeing the entire back and forth between the reviewers and authors that is required to ensure a high level of quality to reviewers and editors respectively, fostering a culture of transparency and integrity. The project's impact is evaluated through rigorous testing, and user feedback, demonstrating improvements in accessibility and collaboration.
