ABSTRACT

In an era marked by pervasive digital communication and escalating concerns over data security, the development of robust encryption techniques is paramount. This research project presents the design and implementation of a novel secure file transmission framework leveraging JPEG-based steganography as a means of covert communication. Steganography, the art of concealing messages within seemingly innocuous cover media, offers a compelling solution for clandestine data transmission. By embedding encrypted data within the frequency domain of JPEGimages, this framework ensures imperceptibility to casual observers while facilitating reliable andsecure communication channels. The project encompasses the development of bothencoding and decoding algorithms, along with the integration of error correction mechanisms to enhance resilience against data loss and corruption. Through rigorous testing and performance evaluation, the efficacy and robustness of the proposed framework are assessed across various transmission scenarios and data types. Thefindings of this research contribute to the advancement of secure communication protocols and offer practical insights into the utilization of steganography as a viabletool for safeguarding sensitive information in digital environments.
