DEVELOPMENT OF A SECURE AND EFFICIENT CLOUD COMPUTING FRAMEWORK

ABSTRACT

Cloud computing has changed the entire process presented by distributed computing some of them which are quite know were grid computing and server client computing. Cloud computing operations are carried out with the aid of structures or frameworks, these frameworks consist of the fundamental and necessary tools to create a functional cloud computing service (Kashif Munir et.al., 2013). These frameworks consist of various deployment models and service models which are used to construct the cloud service based on the usage purpose of the various organizations, public masses and at the same time giving them secure access to these cloud services. These concepts will be discussed further. In this project, a cloud framework would be developed for Nigerian universities using deployment models and service models. The framework would help universities with the sole aim of sharing resources with its students and its administration. A cloud deployment model and service models as well as the use of an interface to link the university to the cloud service in order to make it secure and at the same time, give the university complete control of the cloud service.
