For this project, the DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) was implemented to manage vehicle clearance from Nigerian seaports, as this technology has risen to prominence as one of the most transformative technologies of the previous decade.
This project makes use of the incremental development model for building software. The incremental development model is which is based on the principle of creating a preliminary implementation, and then iterating through numerous versions until a workable system is created. The process activities are planned and scheduled before starting the software development. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were used for the frontend development, while solidity was implemented for building the smart contract. The local development employed, was the remix IDE which was used during the period of development.
At the end of this project, a decentralized application (DAPP) was developed with functionalities to help store, and manage vehicle information from the ports.
