Abstract
The landscape of news consumption has undergone a paradigm shift in the digital era, with online sources increasingly dominating the information ecosystem. However, this transformation has accentuated the challenge of limited or unreliable internet connectivity, leaving users in connectivity-constrained regions with restricted access to timely news updates. In response to these challenges, this research project aims to harness the capabilities of Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) to revolutionize the accessibility and usability of news platforms. By harnessing the power of PWAs and their offline functionalities, this study endeavors to bridge the gap between online and offline news consumption experiences. This abstract provides an overview of the study's objectives, methodology, and the anticipated impact of improving news access in low-connectivity scenarios. Keywords: Progressive Web Applications (PWAs), news consumption, offline functionality, internet connectivity, digital transformation.
