ABSTRACT
This project which is the development of a motion detection system for home security, is built with a motion triggered surveillance system with face recognition, location zoning, alarm and access control system that will be able to process the captured image for facial recognition, send the processed image and the location to the security personnel or owner of the system so the owner can decide whether to activate the alarm or lock down the location. The actualisation of this project is based on the use of a ATMEGA328P microcontroller, video recorder, Passive Infrared Filter (PIR) sensor, Alarm system and a GMS module. The functionality of all the hardware components we be fused with C and C# program, the C program we be used to drive command from the micro-controller to the camera to start capturing once the motion is detected by the PIR sensor while the capturing framework of the camera we be running a C# program. This product, is a high-end surveillance security system that consist of a temperature detection sensor for detecting human signature, cameras for image capturing, alarm for alert, a GSM module for sending SMS and an electronic lock for locking a location. The GSM module sends information like the person’s location in the house, if the person is known or not.
