ABSTRACT

One way of handling significant amounts of information is through visual. The infographics can transfer knowledge about a topic faster and more effectively than pure text; however, this condition is depending on the quality and presentation of the infographics. This research is intended to developing infographics for developing infographic instruction for various studios in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, University of Benin and focusing them on the effectiveness on safety in these studios. According to the research, one challenge for users of the studios was carrying out a duty without clear instructions on the rules and regulations of the studio. However, some studio users complain of the lack of relatable information about the studios. Additionally, it was found that all infographic features, such as the use of pictures and symbols, attractive colors, clear text, and diagrams or charts, could help learners comprehend any learning materials presented to them. Therefore, infographics should be promoted as one of the tools to simplify complex information problems especially those that involve users with tendency of having visual literacy skills.
