ABSTRACT

This study looks into how eco-friendly craft sculptures might help Nigerians become more environmentally conscious and sustainable. The research emphasises the ability of environmentally conscious art to inspire sustainable behaviours and waste management techniques by looking at the creative processes of a few chosen Nigerian artists who work with recycled materials. The study assesses these artworks’ aesthetic value, ecological roles, and environmental effects using a mixed-methods methodology. The results show that environmentally conscious craft sculptures can successfully convey environmental issues, encourage eco-consciousness, and help reduce waste. This study promotes regulations that enable the innovative recycling of waste materials for environmental sustainability and highlights the significance of incorporating eco-conscious art practices within Nigerian art education.
