DETERMINANTS OF JOB SATISFACTION IN INTEGRATED DATA SERVICE LIMITED (IDSL)

ABSTRACT

This research project examined Determinants of Job Satisfaction using Integrated Data Service Limited (IDSL). The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the salary package and employee job satisfaction in IDSL, to examine the correlation between the working conditions and employee satisfaction IDSL. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a well structured questionnaire was used to collect data from respondents. And the data collected was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 20.0) to carry out a simple linear and multiple regression analyses. The findings of the study revealed that there is no significant relationship between the salary package and employee job satisfaction in IDSL. It was also revealed that there is no significant relationship between the working condition and employee job satisfaction in IDSL. It was discovered that there is no significant relationship between Safe Working Environment and employee job satisfaction in IDSL. It was also observed that there is a significant relationship between the Adequate Training and employee job satisfaction in IDSL. It was found that there is no significant relationship between the gender and employee job satisfaction in Integrated Data Service Limited. Therefore, it was recommended amongst others that the company should endeavour to create favorable work conditions for the employee. Guide the employee to communicate effectively, build a good interpersonal environment within the company, in order to create good work conditions, the company should also improve the pay treatment of employees in Integrated Data Service Limited. The company should also improve fairness in the company; create a scientific performance appraisal system in the organization. It was concluded that job satisfaction is a dynamic and interesting subject because it deals directly with human beings, his emotions, psychology, amongst other things.
