Following a stroke, community reintegration is a complex task. The persistent impacts of the stroke and a disruption to the stroke survivor's sense of self may challenge their personal strengths. To effectively return to desired tasks and activities and experience a real sense of belonging and integration, they require the support of family, friends, professionals, and the larger community.
