ABSTRACT

Learning becomes far more effective when carried out in the right environment. This is especially true when creativity and critical thinking are being applied. Think about a studio, being a space for artists to work. If said studio does not have adequate infrastructure such as furniture, lighting, electricity, spacing and others, it can make it hard for students to study properly. In the Graphic Section of the Fine and Applied Arts Department at the University of Benin, the graphics design studio, despite having most of the necessary learning infrastructure, lacks sufficient space needed for a proper learning experience. Therefore, the graduating students from the 2022/2023 class have decided to do something about it by designing more workstation spaces in order to enhance the effectiveness of learning within the graphics design and communication studio. The goal is to make the studio a better place for learning graphic design in hopes that it will not only help the current students but also inspire future students in the Department to be more creative.
