SUMMARY
The present research centered on harnessing the power of the sun and using it for the drying of clothes showed that it is a promising technology if properly developed from a prototype to a commercial product. The test data obtained from the experimentations revealed that air, humidity, temperature, nature of the material being dried, its initial moisture content were necessary for the drying process. air requirement may be natural or forced draft as applicable in outdoor drying and solar clothes dryer respectively.
