ABSTRACT
The Information Technology/Student Industrial work Experience Scheme (IT/SIWES) is a crucial component of the tertiary education in many countries, providing students with practical exposure to real-world work environments. Effective communication between students and their supervisors during these attachments is essential for a successful learning experience. This abstract presents the design and implementation of an interactive online platform aimed at facilitating regular and efficient communication between students and supervisors during their IT/SIWES attachments. This platform’s design prioritizes userfriendliness, accessibility, and scalability, ensuring that it can be easily adopted by educational institutions and organizations supervisors has been integral to its development, leading to continuous improvements. By implementing this interactive online platform, we aim to enhance the overall IT/SIWES experience, fostering improved communication, collaboration, learning outcomes for students, while providing supervisors with efficient tools for mentorship and assessment. The platform’s successful deployment will contribute to the advancement of IT/SIWES programs and the preparation of future professionals for the demands of the workforce
