ABSTRACT

This project aims to provide reliable extended backup power solutions specifically for refrigeration applications. The challenge lies in ensuring uninterrupted operation of refrigeration systems in regions prone to power outages or lacking access to stable electricity. To tackle this issue, a 1.5KVA inverter-based smart system is developed and implemented, integrating advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The primary objective is to provide an efficient and dependable backup power source for refrigeration systems, safeguarding perishable goods and improving overall quality of life, especially in underserved rural areas and vital facilities like hospital blood banks. The development methodology involves meticulous design and integration of key components, with a focus on optimizing system performance and efficiency. The initial phase involved comprehensive simulations and assessments to determine the most suitable specifications for the inverter system. The incorporation of a charge controller was introduced to facilitate seamless integration with solar panels, enabling the system to harness renewable energy sources effectively. This iterative approach allowed for the refinement of system architecture and component selection to meet the project's specific objectives. The outcome of this endeavor is a robust and versatile smart inverter system capable of providing extended backup power for refrigeration applications. Leveraging IoT technology, users can remotely monitor and manage critical parameters such as temperature, battery levels, and system performance in real-time. By addressing the challenges of power outages and unreliable electricity supply, this project enhances the resilience of refrigeration systems and contributes to the preservation of essential perishable goods, thereby making a tangible impact on community well-being and sustainable development
